Work with Kids--Make a difference!
Children's Activities Assistants Needed!
Looking for fun, energetic, and motivated individuals that would like to work with children.
Job Function: Work with children that live at Metropolitan Ministries, as well as community children that attend our programs. Implement and plan activities for the after school and evening programs, as well as spring break camp, summer camp, and other camp days.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Develop scheduled, planned activities on a daily basis for the children.
2. Be a role model of exemplary behavior for the children.
3. Incorporate appropriate curriculum and recreational activities that enhances each child’s experience and teaches social and leisure skills.
4. Supervise volunteers.
5. Maintain daily attendance in all activities.
6. Maintain an inventory of supplies.
7. Communicate regularly with other staff regarding children’s or parent's issues.
8. Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule to ensure that program needs are being met.
9. Successfully completes required training courses.
10. Adheres to all policies of Metropolitan Ministries and/or its PEO.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High school diploma a must. Must qualify under State of Florida and related background requirements. Extensive exposure to childcare programs highly desirable. Heart for ministry and comfort working with poor and homeless families required. Bilingual (Spanish – English) is a plus. Completed 40 hours and First Aid/CPR preferred.
